Amherst Senior Citizens Foundation Logo
Below are logos I am working on with the Amherst Senior Citizens Foundation. The most recent is at the top and it’s earlier edits and ideas follow. At this stage it is in the final stage of approval, if there are any changes I’ll post the distinguished final.

Ideas and exercises previous to the ASCF board leaning toward the ‘Lighthouse’ concepts.
Conservative at first and exploring more symbolic ideas, e.g. Pillar of the community, Torch for those who’ve championed the years ahead of retirement -- a shared idea to the Beacon, the Lighthouse, its sister notion. The Acorn concept for oaks only yield acorns at a mature age. Also the acorn alludes to squirrels’ habits of ensuring their future well-being.
My penchant for Frutiger Bold on this job was fortuitous to find a solid ‘Capital A’ shape (for Amherst) that provided for a decent go at negative space to lay the (bottom) acorn over, and later the Lighthouse scene as above.
